Redemption in sight: Chelsea vs Luton Preview

Frank Lampard’s outfit did everything but win the final in last year’s edition of the FA Cup. In this round of the FA Cup they are due to face Luton Town -in an encouter which, on paper, should be walk in the park.

Chelsea cannot afford to lose this game because they have lost one game too many and it will be an embarrassment to lose at home against a team that is 25 places below them in the English football pyramid.

The Blues’ form going into this game is not the most favourable. They have won 2 of their last 6 games, obtaining 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 loses in this spell.

Luton Town’s most recent results aren’t helping them either. They won 3 games in 6 matches and failed to even register a draw in the other 3 matches. The guests need this this win for confidence and experience purposes. They will make it to the front page if they were to perform a giant killing.

Chelsea has largely been tipped to topple Luton over because of the stature club that they are. These two sides last meet in 1994 in this very competition and Chelsea emerged victorious.
